This prestigious annual gathering brought together Shariah scholars and practitioners from Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, Thailand, and the Philippines for three days of deep, timely, and engaging discussions on key Shariah issues in hashtag#Islamic_finance.

🔹 Fatwa Methodologies in Fiqh al-Mu‘āmalāt – exploring juristic principles, asbāb al-nuzūl, taʿāruḍ wa tarjīḥ, and especially fiqh al-maʿālāt (consideration of consequences) in fatwa issuance.

🔹 Modern Money – rethinking money creation, functions, and implications for Shariah in the era of digital currencies and CBDCs.

🔹 Iʿānah ʿala al-Maʿṣiyah – examining whether some financial models inadvertently assist in prohibited acts and how to establish clear boundaries.

🔹 Deemed Consent – addressing the assumptions of consent in financial contracts and the limits of silence as agreement in Shariah.
