Dr (Mufti) Yousuf Sultan, Founder & CEO of Adl Advisory, had the honour of attending as an esteemed speaker at the seminar titled “𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲-𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀: 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗬𝗼𝘂,” held at the 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗿. 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗵 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝘂𝗸 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹, Faculty of Business Studies (FBS), University of Dhaka.

Organised by the Department of Banking and Insurance, Universiy of Dhaka, the seminar was honoured by the presence of the department’s respected 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗵𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗹 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗺, and 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗸𝗵. The session aimed to equip students with a clear understanding of Islamic finance as a values-driven and rapidly growing global industry.

During his address, Dr Mufti Yousuf highlighted the foundational value system of Islamic finance, its strong ethical and maqasid-based framework, and its growing relevance in the global financial landscape.

He discussed the current expansion of the industry, including emerging opportunities across banking, finance, advisory, governance, and fintech, as well as the long-term career potential for young professionals.

He also shared practical guidance on academic pathways, essential technical and Shariah skill sets, interdisciplinary knowledge, and strategic career planning for students aspiring to enter the Islamic finance sector.

The interactive discussion and students’ thoughtful questions reflected strong engagement and a keen interest in pursuing meaningful, purpose-driven careers in Islamic finance.

Insha’Allah, initiatives like this play a crucial role in bridging academia and industry, nurturing future-ready talent, and strengthening the human capital foundation of Bangladesh’s Islamic finance ecosystem for the years ahead.
