The 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐙𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, held on 17 January 2026, concluded successfully, marking an important step towards strengthening accurate and Shariah-compliant business and corporate Zakat practices in Bangladesh.

Organised jointly by Adl Advisory and IFA Consultancy (IFAC) and presented by Aristopharma Ltd., the seminar brought together respected Islamic scholars, business and corporate leaders, CFOs, finance managers, auditors, practitioners, and Shariah and governance professionals. Their thoughtful engagement and active participation made the discussions both insightful and impactful.

The seminar addressed a critical yet often overlooked area of corporate governance, moving beyond ad-hoc annual estimates towards a practical, case-based approach to deriving Zakat directly from financial statements.

Participants explored real-world applications, including determining the Zakat base from balance sheets, applying correct Shariah treatment to key financial items, distinguishing between company-level and shareholder-level Zakat, and understanding the role of corporate Zakat in liquidity circulation and poverty alleviation within the Bangladesh context.
